Leshon Hakodesh - The Holy Tongue

The seven "Double" letters (each has two sounds, hard and soft) correspond to the seven days. Sunday is represented by beit.

Monday by gimel
Tuesday by dalet
Wednesday by kaf
Thursday by pei
Friday by reish
Saturday by tav

The twelve remaining letters are called the twelve "Elementals," and correspond to the twelve Jewish months. Nissan (March-April) is hei.

Iyar - vav
Sivan - zayin
Tamuz - chet
Av - tet
Elul - yud
Tishrei - lamed
Cheshvan - nun
Kislev - samech
Tevet - ayin
Shevat - tzadik
Adar - kuf

The three "Mother" letters correspond to the seasons of the year. The summer (three months of Tamuz, Av, Elul), is represented by the letter shin (letter of fire) the winter (three months of Tevet, Shevat, Adar) by mem (letter of water) and the two intermediate seasons of spring (three months of Nissan, Iyar, Sivan) and fall (three months of Tishrei, Cheshvan, Kislev) by alef (letter of air). Therefore, every day is represented by three letters.
